Faites la connaissance de Sarah, une sympathisante de longue date de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Elizabeth Fry d'Ottawa, dont la passion pour la justice sociale et le bien-\u00eatre de la communaut\u00e9 l'a entra\u00een\u00e9e \u00e0 cr\u00e9er quelque chose d'extraordinaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avec une formation en criminologie et en \u00e9tudes p\u00e9nitentiaires, le cheminement de Sarah avec E Fry Ottawa a commenc\u00e9 en tant que membre du conseil d'administration, mais son d\u00e9vouement \u00e0 la cause a pris une nouvelle dimension en mars 2021 lors du confinement pand\u00e9mique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that time, Sarah, then a stay-at-home mom, found herself surrounded by her children\u2019s outgrown clothes. This sparked an idea: to establish a social enterprise that would simultaneously simplify shopping for secondhand kids\u2019 clothing and generate a sustainable and flexible source of revenue for E Fry Ottawa. And that\u2019s how Fabrick Collective was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enterprise turns outgrown kids\u2019 clothes into cash, with seven percent of sales going directly to E Fry Ottawa. These funds help meet the needs of the women and gender-diverse people we serve, empowering them to build stability and work toward a brighter future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Fabrick Collective fournit \u00e9galement des cartes-cadeaux aux clients de E Fry Ottawa, ce qui leur permet de magasiner directement pour les besoins de leurs enfants, renfor\u00e7ant ainsi l'engagement de l'entreprise \u00e0 soutenir la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Fabrick Collective est profond\u00e9ment enracin\u00e9 dans la communaut\u00e9 du centre-ville d'Ottawa, ce qui assure que les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices de son travail restent locaux. Sarah souligne l'importance de cette relation r\u00e9ciproque, o\u00f9 les contributions de la communaut\u00e9 sont transform\u00e9es en un soutien significatif qui reste au sein de la communaut\u00e9. L'entreprise d\u00e9fend de plus l'\u00e9conomie circulaire, r\u00e9duisant la d\u00e9pendance \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la mode jetable et de son bilan environnemental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After operating exclusively online for three years, Sarah opened a physical location in May 2024 at 70b Beech Street, offering a welcoming, family-friendly space for customers. Then during the summer of 2025, Fabrik Collective move to its new location in Old Ottawa South, where it is attracting a lot of street traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah believes that every small action can create significant change \u2013 a sentiment that aligns perfectly with E Fry Ottawa\u2019s motto: \u201cChange\u2026one step at a time\u201d. This philosophy is embodied in the success of Fabrick Collective, where every step, from a single donated item to each purchase, contributes to meaningful progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 ce jour, l'entreprise a collect\u00e9 plus de 27 000 dollars pour les programmes d'E Fry Ottawa, d\u00e9montrant ainsi le pouvoir de l'effort collectif et des initiatives men\u00e9es par la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah attribue ce succ\u00e8s au soutien ind\u00e9fectible de sa famille, de ses amis et de la communaut\u00e9 d'Ottawa, montrant ainsi qu'un changement significatif est vraiment le fruit d'un effort collectif constant et de petits gestes de bont\u00e9 au fil du temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
